Riverfront

I liked this photo because of the way the river flows at and angle to the mountains in the background.  Also the  tree in the front left of the picture also catches my attention.

I picked this photo because of the different types of two cattails in the center of the picture draw my attention. Also when looking at it closer there are different types of grass that make diagonal lines to the cattails.

I felt that this picture portrayed the rule of seven planes.  The grass in the foreground, the water in the mid ground, the trees in the background, and in the final plane the blue sky.

In this picture I liked the contrast between the red leaves and the blue berries in the upper left. All the pictures were taken with my Nikon Coolpix L18 camera.

Yellowstone

I have lived in Montana my whole life and cannot remember ever going to Yellowstone National Park.  Living in Billings for four years now and only being a few hours away I have decided that I will make it there before the year is up.  Seeing all the pictures and hearing about all the encounters with wildlife makes me want to go check out the amazing scenery.

Bear's Paw Mountains

This picture was taken by a friend who lives out where I worked for five summers.  I spent my summers hiking the mountains to fix the fence.  This picture shows the wide open blue skies and the rough terrain that the Bear's Paw Mountains resemble.

Mountain Beast in the City

This picture was taken outside of my apartment complex in early March with a Nikon Coolpix L18.  This picture reminds me of hunting season, something my Dad, Brothers, and I have done since we could walk.  It also reminds me of the summer before this last that I spent working outside taking in the beautiful Montana scenery.  I get excited just looking at the picture because it reminds me that hunting season is getting closer.
